About the Program: Should I register as an SME or as a Large Company?

Accepted Answer

It depends on how your company's annual air travel expenditure. For Small and Medium Enterprises, no minimum air travel expenditure is required — simply create a free Account on our website. Every time your Employees fly with TAP, your company earns cashback balance credits that can be redeemed for future trips or extra services. Large Companies are required to meet a minimum air travel expenditure, with terms mutually agreed upon by TAP and the Company. To help you with the Account creation process, we have prepared a questionnaire. Based on your answers, the option that best suits your Company's needs will be automatically recommended.

How it works and its benefits: What is the CI code used for?

Accepted Answer

The CI code is the Company's identification code in TAP's database. If the CI code is not provided when booking your Company's trips (either through a Travel Agency or directly with TAP), the corresponding cashback balance cannot be credited, nor can exclusive discounts be applied.

Yes, while Employees earn individual TAP Miles&Go miles, the Company still receives its own benefits.

How the Program works: What is the TAP FORBIZ Program for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)?

Accepted Answer

It is a loyalty Program designed to help Small and Medium Companies reduce their travel expenses. Whenever your Employees fly with TAP, their trips are converted into cashback balance credits. These cashback balance credits can be redeemed for trips and other TAP products. The Program is free and has no minimum requirements.

How the Program works: Can my Company join the TAP FORBIZ Program for SMEs?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the SME Program is available to companies based in multiple countries and does not require a minimum number of trips. It is available in Angola, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Czechia, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The Program is not available to Travel Agencies, operators, consolidators, and freelance travel agents.

Yes, but the contact person must be an employee responsible for managing the Company’s trips.

How the Program works: Do companies enrolled in the TAP FORBIZ Program receive a membership card?

There is no physical card for Companies enrolled in the SME Program. The Company can still book flights at public fares as usual, either through a Travel Agency or directly with TAP—via the website www.tapforbiz.com, at service desks, through the Bookings Contact Center, or on the website www.flytap.com. To earn cashback balance credits, you must enter the CI code.

Earning cashback balance: How do I earn cashback balance?

Accepted Answer

Once the registration is complete, you will be assigned a Company identification code (e.g. CI123, CI – Program ID; X – country ID; 123 – Company ID). This code will be used to register your Company's trips. You must provide it every time you book a trip with TAP. This procedure applies to bookings made directly with TAP or through a Travel Agency. Bookings must be made in the Company's country of enrollment. Thereafter, all tickets purchased and flown by your Employees on TAP and TAP Express flights will be credited to your Company Account.

Earning cashback balance: How do I use my CI code?

If you purchase your tickets through a Travel Agency, the CI code must be entered when creating the booking in OSI, using the following format as an example: CIP123.  Amadeus: OSTP CP/CIP123. Galileo: SI.TP*CP/CIP123.  Sabre: 3OSI TP CP/CIP123.  Apollo: @:3OSITP CP/CIP123. Worldspan: 3OSI TP CP/CIP123. If you purchase your tickets through the website www.flytap.com, the CI code must be entered when filling in the "Booking Holder Passenger Details" under the "Corporate Programs" section.When purchasing tickets on the website www.tapforbiz.com, the CI code is entered automatically.

Earning cashback balance: Will my Company earn cashback balance when using previously earned cashback balance?

Accepted Answer

It depends. Cashback balance is earned only on the amount paid for the fare and the carrier surcharge (YQ). If these amounts are entirely paid using your earned cashback balance, no additional cashback balance will be credited. If the amounts are partially paid without using previously earned cashback balance, you will earn the corresponding cashback balance.

The cashback balance for SMEs is credited based on what is actually flown. This cashback balance will be credited to your Company Account 72h after the flight has taken place.

Earning cashback balance: What is the expiration period for earned cashback balance?

Accepted Answer

Your earned cashback balance will expire two years following the end of the month when it was credited to your Company Account.

Earning cashback balance: My booking did not have an identification code, and I did not receive the cashback balance for my trip. What should I do?

If you need to claim uncredited cashback balance, please use the "claim cashback balance" option and fill in all the required fields. Please note: Cashback balance claimed through the “claim cashback balance” option can take up to 3 weeks to be credited. “Claim cashback balance” requests will only be accepted for tickets flown up to 6 months before the “claim cashback balance” form is submitted or the request is made through the Support Service. “Claim cashback balance” requests will only be accepted for Employees registered in the Personal Area under “Registered Employees”.

Cashback balance can only be earned on TAP tickets (047) and flights operated by TAP or TAP Express. Tickets issued in markets where the TAP FORBIZ Program for SMEs is available are eligible for cashback balance accrual.

Through the SME Program, after accessing your Company Account, you can use the booking engine to purchase TAP tickets. Payment can be made using a Credit Card or via ATM. For this reason, you can purchase your tickets as usual, and you must simply indicate your company identification code (CI).

Using your cashback balance: Where can I redeem the accumulated balance?

Once you reach a minimum cashback balance of 10 EUR / 40 BRL / 10 USD / 300 CZK / 10 CHF / 50 PLN / 50 GBP / 100 NOK / 100 SEK / 80 DKK, you can use it to pay for up to 100% of the fare on TAP Air Portugal/TAP Express flights, or codeshare flights provided that one of the segments is operated by TAP Air Portugal or TAP Express. You can also use your cashback balance to purchase other TAP products available at the time of booking your ticket, such as: Extra baggage;    Fast Track;    Lounge access;    Seat reservation;    Offsetting your carbon emissions.  The available cashback balance can be used to pay for any service offered by TAP Air Portugal and TAP Express.

Using your cashback balance: Are there any restrictions on how I can use my cashback balance (locations, schedules, equipment)?

Accepted Answer

You can only use your cashback balance on TAP / TAP Express aircraft (equipment) or on codeshare flights where at least one segment of the itinerary is operated by TAP Air Portugal or TAP Express. There are no restrictions regarding locations or schedules.

To change your personal details, log in to the website www.tapforbiz.com, go to the Customer Area menu and select the "My Profile" option. You can change the following details: Surname;    Company role;    Phone contacts;    Email;    Password;    Permission to receive communications from the TAP FORBIZ Program and TAP Air Portugal.

My Account: Is it possible to add Users to a Company Account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. To add new Users to your Company Account, go to the Customer Area menu and select the "Group Profile" option. Once there, click the relevant Company option and select "Users". After completing these steps, you will be asked to enter the personal details of the User(s) you wish to add. You can assign the following access levels to the User you wish to add: Company Admin (access limited to the Company they are registered with) or Group Admin (access to all Companies within the group, not just the one they are registered with).

My Account: Do I need to register Company Employees in the Customer Area?

It is highly recommended, as the program is aimed at Company Employees. TAP conducts regular audits to ensure the program is used correctly, thereby minimizing the likelihood of the Company being asked to provide proof of employment for Employees eligible to earn cashback balance. If you need to claim uncredited cashback balance, you can only do so for registered Employees.

The Program offers exclusive benefits tailored to the specific needs of each business. The conditions are negotiated and agreed upon by TAP and the Company. By joining this Program, you will also have access to dedicated TAP support to answer any questions and monitor your Company's performance.

Membership and eligibility: My Company is enrolled in the Small and Medium Enterprises Program. Am I eligible for the benefits offered to Large Companies?

Accepted Answer

No. Companies can only access the benefits of the specific Program they have joined.

Membership and eligibility: My Company works with more than one Travel Agency. Does this affect my Company’s eligibility to join the Program?

Accepted Answer

No. Your Company can work with several Travel Agencies. However, we must be informed of this situation to notify the various Travel Agencies about your Company’s discounts and benefits.

Participation terms: What happens if my Company does not meet the minimum annual air travel expenditure agreed with TAP?

Accepted Answer

No penalty will be applied for that year. However, the commercial conditions for the following year may be subject to revision or termination.

Participation terms: My Company is a multinational and issues tickets in multiple countries. Is it eligible for the Program’s benefits and advantages?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A single discount agreement can be negotiated for ticket purchases made in multiple countries. The availability of this type of agreement depends on your Company's annual air travel expenditure.
